If your sales and marketing aren't inherently helpful, it's spam.
So the first thing to ask when contacting people is:
In what way I can make this helpful to them?
That doesn't have to be in a big way:
Sometimes, asking a pertinent and useful question is enough to get someone thinking about something relevant or important.
Or you could introduce two people to each other.
Or share a resource.
Maybe offer help or feedback.
So ask yourself what they need more of, and then let's have a look, to see if we can find anything we should mention...
